April 28, 2010: I'm a Debra Webb fan and have been for a long time, but I do believe she's outdone herself on this romantic suspense novel. The suspense is taut, the characters leap off the page--I hope there are MORE Adeline Cooper books!--and the plot twists are outstanding. Typically I get a third of the way through a book and the rest is a foregone conclusion. Not so in this one--and I LOVED THAT! One of the reviewers said this is the perfect romantic suspense novel. Good call. It's incredibly well done. Kudos, Debra Webb. And if you're not considering more Det. Adeline Cooper stories, please do! She's complex and fascinating.
